Pastoralism is a project unique to ARED, aimed at supporting pastoral communities in enhancing their knowledge and strengthening their capacities. ARED works alongside herders and local actors to promote equitable and sustainable resource management in contexts shaped by environmental, economic, and social changes.
In this project, ARED is involved in two major initiatives:
- ● The Support Project for Populations Affected by the Sahelian Crisis (APAC)
- ● The Economic Development Project for the Agro-Pastoral Sector and Common Governance of Territories (PROACT)
Our interventions focus on the training of facilitators, as well as on the facilitation and active participation in local workshops, with the goal of strengthening local capacities and promoting collective and sustainable management of natural resources in support of livestock management.
