Action-Research: Measuring, Evaluating and Improving for a Sustainable Impact

ARED takes a global approach to action research and performance measurement for all the innovations it introduces. As part of its educational programs in schools, ARED uses impact assessments to measure student progress in comparison with control classes. This ensures that our innovations produce tangible results, and demonstrates the effectiveness of our approaches to the general public. Ministry of Education.

ARED has a monitoring & evaluation department which regularly collects data on the progress of its projects and produces analyses to feed into all the organization's activities. The results are used to adjust interventions to improve their operation and impact.

ARED also carries out fidelity assessments to check that teachers, principals and other staff are applying the programs as designed. These assessments help to identify weaknesses in implementation, often linked to realities on the ground. With this information, ARED can re-examine its approaches and revise them to facilitate effective implementation.
